Where does your money go?
The
goal of SeventyK is to be the leading education and advocacy
organization for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and
survivors. Our mission is to guide the implementation of the ten points
enumerated in the Patient Bill of Rights by both individuals and
organizations. By doing so, they will have the blueprint for a
cancer program that will truly and effectively "change cancer care" for
these oft-forgotten AYA cancer patients.
To achieve this mission we will require:
1. An expanded and professionally maintained website.
a)
Our website will serve as a collector of ideas and information that
will be necessary to "change cancer care". SeventyK’s websites goal is
to serve as a "Konnector".
b)
SeventyK will develop the most comprehensive, web-based resource guide
of organizations dedicated to the proper care of adolescent and young
adult cancers.
2. Development of educational material.
a)
These materials will be used to educate the next generation of
providers, including, but not limited to, medical students, residents,
fellows, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
b) Collaborative
relations will be developed with health communication and literacy
experts in order to design and craft proper messages and strategies to
spread the word.
